Dear Keilah Engstrom Photography followers,

First off, thank you all so much for your support and kind comments. They have been what keeps me going, and I love them so much!

But, times are changing. I have two big surprises for you!

Number one; I have officially changed my business name! I am now “Vanilla Bean Photography”. The reason for changing is because, first of all no one can correctly pronounce my name. And it’s hard to have a business which no one can pronounce. And secondly, when I started my business, it what a side hobby. Now that I have graduated high school, I am looking forward to this being an actual business. And so, I have started to make things official. Which brings me to surprise number two…

I have a new website! Well, a blog actually, but you can get all the information you need to off this new blog. I am so excited about it! It was a fun journey to get it up and running, and I am so happy it’s [almost] done. That being said, I would love it if you would go over, leave some comments, and start following:

Oh my goodness, all the amazing work that went into this wedding! My best fried, Keenan, who you have seen here on this blog (most recently HERE), got married this Saturday. It. Was. Beautiful.

Every single detail was stunning.

I absolutely love spending time outside, swimming, sunbathing, and picking flowers. But with my Spring and Summer allergies so horrible, I usually spend most of my time indoors. So when I do get a chance to go outside and have an amazingly fun time shooting away, I greatly enjoy it!

I remember meeting Toby and April for the first time.

I was about 3-years-old, and I sat on our living room window sill and watched them as they got out of their car and walked into our house. My little mind was very sad that they didn't have any kids yet, and the memory abruptly ends here.

But guess what!? They DID have some girls, later on! And I remember when they all were born!

Pickle's Birthday party this year was super cute and fun. The girls arrived in their crowns, and perfect princess attire.

Gus was the perfect defender of the princesses! (just in case a dragon might happen to pass by)

This AMAZINGLY cute outfit was made by my sister, Libby, at Tre Designs.

Ohh... it was just one of those days! Photographic opportunities presented themselves all day! And with a new lens, taking the pictures is very easy! Here is Eej with the amazing muffins my sister made for breakfast... I want them again already!

I made a Valentines Day cake a week later (smile). I love doing roses, so it was super fun!

And... the early morning time! My little siblings eyes are striking, they are more patient with me, and their hair is cute and messy! Love it.

So... You know when you are tired, hungry, and just over all a little bit of a mess? It's during those times when I know I'm weak, that God is most visible in my life. When we are humble, He is able to shine through us! And likewise, when I decide just to go outside and take some fun pictures of family and friends playing in the snow, it's then that I am blown away by the way that God can bless me through my photos. I wasn't expecting much, but I am so happy with the way the pictures turned out!

*sigh* This is seriously one the most talented girls - EVER! Not only did she makes the gloves she's modeling, but she makes so many other things! She is an incredible knitter. She is just AMAZING! Now, come on with me and nag her to write a book? Please? And I get 'dibs!' on taking the pictures, right?! My new favorite quote is: "I've gotta make money out of this somehow!" ~ANJ And I fully intend to.

Ahh.... When I see this Summer picture, I feel as if it was only taken yesterday. In reality it was taken 2 whole Summers ago! Little Gusper has grown up so much! And even though he's in the "Ooh!-Sissy's-purse-is-so-fun-to-play-with" stage, I love him more and more each day. Thank you Lord for this amazing blessing!

It was the day of the first snow... a perfect setting for a winter engagement shoot! And since it was only the first snow, most of the town was not covered yet. Just a few out of the way locations had snow, and it was then easy to go to another location and have no snow! It was perfect.

And indeed it was! I ate about 4 bowls of wonderful, fresh, sweet, and light snow last evening as I was editing pictures from my first engagement shoot (coming soon)! Ahhh.... the perfect midnight snack! And believe it or not, eating all that snow made me incredibly thirsty.
